Texas Sweet Potato Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (17 oz.) can sweet potatoes, drained and mashed
    1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    2/3 c. milk
    2/3 c. whipping cream
    3 eggs
    3 Tbsp. bourbon
    1 Tbsp. butter, melted
    1 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. ground ginger
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 unbaked 9-inch pastry shell
    whipped cream (optional)
Preparation
    Combine first 4 ingredients in a large bowl; beat at low speed of an electric mixer until smooth.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Add bourbon and next 5 ingredients; beat just until blended.
    Pour mixture into pastry shell.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 50 to 55 minutes or until set.
    Cool. Garnish with whipped cream, if desired.
