New Orleans Style Seafood Gumbo - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    2 onions, peeled and chopped
    28 oz. tomatoes (undrained)
    2 qt. chicken broth
    1/2 tsp. thyme
    1/2 tsp. salt
    ground red pepper to personal taste
    Tabasco sauce to personal taste
    24 or more oysters
    24 or more shrimp, peeled and deveined
    1/4 c. flour
    1/2 lb. okra, sliced
    1 stalk celery, chopped
    2 c. rice, cooked
    1 bay leaf
    1 pinch black pepper
Preparation
    Note: Fish, crabmeat, etc. may be added to suit personal taste.
