Strawberry Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 pkg. (small) strawberry gelatin
1 (No. 2) can crushed pineapple
3 medium sized bananas, mashed
2 pkg. (10 oz. each) frozen strawberries, thawed
1 (12 oz.) carton sour cream
Preparation

Measure juice from pineapple and add enough water to make 2 cups liquid.
Heat to boiling on high heat, and pour over gelatin, stirring until completely dissolved.
Let gelatin cool.
Mash bananas, and combine with pineapple and strawberries.
Add fruit to gelatin and chill in fridge until mixture starts to congeal. Place half of gelatin mixture in the bottom of mold or pan.
Make a layer of sour cream and spread remaining gelatin mixture on top of sour cream.
Chill until firm.
