Yeast Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. yeast
    2 Tbsp. warm water
    1 c. shortening
    5 c. unsifted flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 c. sugar
    2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1 1/2 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in water.
    Sift all dry ingredients together. Cut shortening in 1/2 of dry ingredients.
    Pour yeast in buttermilk; add to dry ingredients.
    Roll on floured board. Freeze for later use.
    Allow biscuits to thaw and rise in a warm place for 2 or 3 hours.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
