Almond Toffee(Originally From Ruth Kopp) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c butter
    1 c sugar
    3 T water
    1 T light syrup
    1/2 c toasted almonds
    4 squares semi-sweet chocolate or chocolate chips
Preparation
    Heat and stir until boils to 250 degrees first 4 ingredients. Stir constantly until 300 degrees.
    Add 1/2 of almonds and pour into 9x9 metal pan.
    Cover with a layer of chocolate at once and spread.
    Sprinkle balance of burnished almonds.
