Yum Yum Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 can crushed pineapple
1 c. white sugar
juice of 1 lemon or 2 Tbsp. concentrated
2 Tbsp. Knox gelatine
1/2 c. cold water
1 c. grated American cheese
2 Tbsp. canned pimento
1 or 2 Tbsp. green pepper (if desired)
1/2 pt. cream, whipped, or 1 (8 oz.) container Cool Whip
Preparation

Heat 2 cups or 1 can crushed pineapple, sugar and lemon juice. Boil a minute or two.
Soak Knox gelatine in 1/2 cup cold water for 10 minutes, then add to the hot pineapple mixture.
When cool and beginning to set, add the grated American cheese, pimento and green pepper.
Mix thoroughly.
Add the whipped cream.
Stir thoroughly; let set.
