Cream Pie Mix - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. milk or 1 c. milk and 1 c. cream
3 Tbsp. flour
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
2 egg yolks, slightly beaten (save whites)
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Scald milk and cream in top of double boiler.
Combine flour, cornstarch, sugar and salt. Add to scalded milk and cook until smooth and thick. Cook 15 minutes longer, constantly stirring. Stir a small amount into egg yolks that have been beaten. Return to double boiler and cook a few minutes longer.
You can use bananas or 1/2 cup coconut, if you wish.
Use beaten egg whites for topping, if you wish.
