Sweet Potato Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 lb. sweet potatoes, peeled and finely chopped
    2 c. raisins
    5 large eggs, lightly beaten
    1 qt. whipping cream
    2 Tbsp. cane syrup
    1/2 (16 oz.) loaf French bread, torn into 1-inch pieces
    1/4 c. cooking rum
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 c. half and half
    1 Tbsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Arrange sweet potatoes in steamer basket over boiling water; cover and steam 10 minutes or until tender.
    Set aside.
    Combine raisins and rum; set aside.
