Cheese Fondue - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. milk, scalded
    1 c. soft bread crumbs
    1/2 to 3/4 c. grated American cheese
    2 Tbsp. melted butter
    1/2 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    3 egg yolks
    3 stiffly beaten egg whites
Preparation
    Combine milk, crumbs, cheese, butter and seasonings.
    Stir in yolks.
    Fold in whites.
    Pour into greased 1 1/2-quart baking dish.
    Place in pan of hot water; bake in slow oven at 325\u00b0 until firm, 30 to 45 minutes.
    Serves 6 to 8.
