Fruit Tart - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. flour
1 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. milk
2 egg yolks
1 tsp. baking powder
2 cans cherry or blueberry pie filling
Preparation

Sift the flour, sugar, soda, salt and baking powder.
Drop in shortening and mix like pie crust.
Add egg yolks to milk and beat.
Add to flour mixture.
Use 1/2 for top crust and 1/2 for bottom crust.
Roll top out between wax paper to size of cookie sheet.
Put in freezer until you do bottom crust.
Put dough in cookie sheet and pat until cookie sheet is covered.
Add pie filling, then cover with top crust.
Brush with egg whites.
Bake until brown and bubbly at 375\u00b0 (45 minutes).
