Ingredients

1 lb. butter
1 c. sugar
2 egg yolks
1/2 lemon rind and juice or 1 Tbsp. brandy
1 tsp. baking powder
6 c. flour
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar; add egg yolks, flavoring and flour. Use only enough flour to handle dough.
Roll thin on pastry cloth; trim with slightly beaten egg whites and decorate with colored sugar and nuts if desired.
