Italian Style Lasagne - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 to 3 lb. ground beef, browned (drain the fat)
2 large cans tomatoes (2 lb.)
2 medium onions, browned
1 large can tomato puree (1 lb.)
1 (8 oz.) can tomato paste
2 tsp. each: garlic powder, oregano and basil
4 bay leaves
1/4 c. parsley flakes
1 lb. each: Ricotta cheese, small curd cottage cheese and Romano, grated fresh
2 lb. Mozzarella cheese, grated
1 beaten egg
Preparation

In large cooking pot, place browned meat and onions.
Add tomato puree, tomato sauce and tomatoes.
Mix well and add garlic powder, oregano, basil, bay leaves and parsley flakes.
Simmer for 2 1/2 hours.
Mix Ricotta cheese, small curd cottage cheese, Romano (grated fresh) and Mozzarella cheese (grated).
Add beaten egg and mix well.
Top and bottom layers must be sauce.
Layer sauce, noodles, cheeses, noodles, sauce, noodles and cheeses until mixture runs out.
Sprinkle top sauce layer generously with Parmesan cheese (fresh grated) and dot with Mozzarella.
Bake at 300\u00b0 for 3 hours. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
