Chocolate Chip Cookies(Yields 4 Dozen Cookies) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. margarine
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 egg
    1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    6 oz. pkg. (1 c.) chocolate chips
    1/2 c. chopped nuts or sunflower nuts, if desired
Preparation
    Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
    In large bowl, beat brown sugar, sugar, margarine and shortening until light and fluffy.
    Add vanilla and egg; beat well.
    Add flour, baking soda and salt; mix well.
    Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
    Drop by teaspoonfuls 2-inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes or until light golden brown.
    Cool 1 minute; remove from cookie sheet.
