Aunt Dot'S Brown Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. cubed chuck
    2 Tbsp. oil
    2 large potatoes, diced
    3 carrots, quartered
    1 Tbsp. A.1. sauce
    1 medium size onion, chopped
    1 bay leaf
    dash of garlic salt
    2 beef bouillon cubes
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 small can tomato sauce
Preparation
    Brown meat in oil; add
    enough water to cover after it's browned.
    Cook about 1 hour, then add vegetables and cook until tender.
    Brown 2 tablespoons flour
    in 1 tablespoon oil.
    Add 1 cup water.
    Simmer for 2 minutes
    on
    low
    heat.
    Add
    gravy to meat and vegetables.
    Pour into
    1
    1/2
    quart
    casserole dish. Top with a can of biscuits.
    Cook
    at
    350\u00b0
    until biscuits are done, about 15 minutes.
