Ingredients

1 c. finely chopped suet
1 c. molasses
1 c. milk
3 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 to 1/2 tsp. ginger
1/4 to 1/2 tsp. cloves
1/4 to 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. raisins or dates
Preparation

Mix and sift dry ingredients; add molasses and milk to suet. Pour into buttered mold and cover.
Steam 3 hours.
Serve with sauce.
