Homemade Caramel Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 stick margarine
2 c. brown sugar
1 c. light corn syrup
2 Tbsp. water
1 (1 1/2 oz.) sweetened condensed milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

In a saucepan, melt butter, stir in sugar, syrup and water. Bring to a boil and stir in milk.
Simmer, stirring constantly, until it reaches the thread stage (230\u00b0).
Add vanilla and stir. Pour in jars or servers.
Store leftovers in refrigerator.
Keeps well.
Makes 3 to 4 cups.
