3 c. sifted flour
1 1/2 c. butter
5 drops lemon juice
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
3 egg yolks (set whites aside)
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. walnuts, chopped fine
Preparation

Cream butter, gradually adding sugar.
Beat this mixture until light with hand mixer.
Add egg yolks, vanilla and lemon juice; blend well.
Add salt to flour, then gradually add flour mixture to wet mixture.
Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Form 1/2-inch balls; dip first into slightly beaten egg whites, then into nuts.
Bake for 5 minutes; remove from oven.
Press with small glass to flatten and sprinkle with colored sugar.
Bake 15 minutes longer.
