Scones - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 oz. flour
    1 level tsp. baking powder
    3 oz. sugar
    3 oz. shortening
    3 oz. Sultanas or raisins
    1 egg
    a little milk (to mix)
Preparation
    Mix flour, sugar, shortening and baking powder.
    Add Sultanas, egg and a little milk.
    Mix.
    Roll out on floured board 1-inch thick.
    Cut out \"biscuit style\".
    Brush tops with milk.
    Bake 12 to 15 minutes at 375\u00b0 until golden brown.
