Dad'S Favorite Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1 c. sugar
2 beaten eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
3 c. oatmeal
1/2 c. nuts

Preparation

Cream shortening and sugars, add beaten eggs and vanilla.
Mix well.
Sift together flour and baking soda; add to mixture.
Mix well.
Add oatmeal and nuts.
Form dough into 4 rolls.
Roll in waxed paper and refrigerate at least 1 hour.
Slice and bake on an ungreased cookie sheet for 10 minutes at 350\u00b0.
