Chicken In The Pan - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (2 to 3 lb.) chicken
2 lb. onions, sliced
2 cans mushrooms, drained
3 Tbsp. garlic salt
2 tsp. pepper (sprinkle between layers)
Preparation

Cut up chicken.
Alternate layers of chicken, onions and mushrooms, finishing with onions on top. Add 1 1/2 cups water. Cover pan and put in a 400\u00b0 oven for 10 minutes.
Turn down the heat to 175\u00b0 and cook for 8 hours without burning it.
One half hour before serving, put chicken under broiler for 15 minutes to brown top and turn gently under to brown.
Serve with potatoes or noodles.
