Devil'S Food Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
6 1/2 Tbsp. molasses
1/4 c. sour milk
1 egg
2 sq. chocolate, melted in 6 1/2 Tbsp. boiling water
1/2 tsp. soda
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Combine all ingredients, starting with the butter and ending with the vanilla, in the order given; mix well.
Pour in a loaf pan and bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 minutes.
Frost with whipped cream. Top with sprinkled coconut, if desired.
