Caramel Oatmeal Chewies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. quick cooking oatmeal
    1 1/2 c. flour
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. melted margarine
    1 c. chopped peanuts
    1 c. chocolate chips
    1/4 c. flour
    1 (12.5 oz.) jar caramel ice cream topping
Preparation
    Grease 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
    Combine oatmeal, 1 1/2 cups flour, brown sugar and salt; mix well.
    Stir in margarine; mix until well blended.
    Set 1 cup aside to be used later.
    Press remaining into bottom of greased pan.
    Bake 10 minutes, or until light brown.
    Cool 10 minutes.
    Top with nuts and chocolate chips.
