Hot German Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 c. cold water
    2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. plus 2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 c. white vinegar
    2 tsp. butter
    1 onion, sliced
    6 strips bacon, fried and diced
    2 qt. boiled potatoes, peeled and sliced
Preparation
    In a frying pan, blend cornstarch with cold water.
    Add salt, sugar and vinegar.
    Boil a few minutes until clear, stirring constantly.
    Add butter, sliced onions, diced bacon and sliced potatoes.
    Simmer for a few minutes.
    Serve hot.
    Makes 8 to 10 servings.
