Beef-Stuffed Cabbage Leaves - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large head cabbage (12 to 14 leaves)
    4 qt. boiling, salted water
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 1/2 c. rice, cooked
    4 Tbsp. butter, melted
    1/2 c. fine dry bread crumbs
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/4 tsp. sage
Preparation
    Immerse cabbage into boiling water until bright green.
    For the filling, brown the ground beef and onion, then drain.
    Combine meat with rice, butter, bread crumbs, salt, pepper and sage.
    Put filling near base of each leaf and roll up, folding edges under. Place cabbage rolls in rows in a 9 x 13-inch greased baking dish. Cover tightly.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes (45 minutes if refrigerated).
    Serve with Tomato Sauce.
    Serves 4 to 6.
