Oatmeal Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg
    1 c. buttermilk
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/3 c. shortening
    1 c. quick cooking oats
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Beat eggs and stir in buttermilk, brown sugar and shortening. Add remaining ingredients; stir until flour is dampened.
    Batter will not be smooth.
    Fill greased muffin cups 2/3 full.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes or until light brown.
    Makes 12 muffins.
