Ingredients

1/2 c butter
1/2 c peanut butter
1/2 c sugar
1/2 c brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 1/4 c self- rising flour
Preparation

Thoroughly cream margarine, peanut butter, sugars, eggs, and vanilla.
Blend in flour.
Shape into 1-inch balls; roll in granulated sugar.
Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Press five peanut halves atop each, or crisscross with fork.
Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
Cool slightly.
Remove from pan.
