Swiss Steak - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. beef round steak
1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, drained
1 onion, thinly sliced
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation

Pound in 1 teaspoon salt and pepper.
Place in shallow baking dish.
Top with mushrooms, onions and tomato sauce.
Cover and cook at 350\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
Uncover, cook 15 minutes more, basting occasionally.
Spoon sauce over meat.
Serves 8, 172 calories.
