Chocolate Potato Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. butter
    1/2 c. shortening
    3 eggs, separated
    1 c. mashed potatoes
    1 3/4 c. sifted flour
    1/2 c. cocoa
    1 3/4 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. each: cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and salt
    1/2 c. milk
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Beat together very well sugar, butter, shortening, egg yolks and potatoes.
    Add all at once, sifted dry ingredients, milk and nuts.
    Stir until well blended.
    Beat egg whites until stiff; fold into batter.
    Spread evenly into a lightly greased and floured 10-inch tube pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
