Irish Bread - cooking recipe

4 c. flour
6 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. raisins
2 1/3 c. warm milk
1/3 c. melted butter
2 eggs
1/4 c. caraway seed (optional)
2 3/4 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
1/4 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. (1/2 stick) butter
1/2 c. dried currants (dark seedless raisins)
1 3/4 c. buttermilk
1 Tbsp. butter, melted (optional)
Preparation

Heat oven to 400\u00b0.
Lightly grease an 8-inch spring-form pan. In large bowl, combine 2 1/4 cups flour, sugar, baking soda, cream of tartar and salt.
With pastry blender or 2 knives, cut in butter until coarse crumbs form.
Fold in currants.
