Grandmother'S 1-2-3-4 Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    2 c. sugar
    3 c. sifted flour
    4 eggs
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. milk
    1 tsp. extract (almond or vanilla)
Preparation
    Cream
    butter and sugar until fluffy.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.
    Sift dry ingredients together and add alternately with milk and extract.
    Bake in greased loaf
    pan at 350\u00b0 to 375\u00b0 for 45 to 60 minutes or in 2 greased cake pans at 375\u00b0 about 25 minutes.
    Frost as desired.
