5 Day Sun Dill Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 tsp. turmeric
2 qt. dark vinegar
1/2 tsp. alum
1 qt. water
1 c. canning salt
2 large cloves garlic (per jar)
1 Tbsp. dill seed (per jar)
Preparation

Put 2 large cloves of garlic and 1 tablespoon dill seed in bottom of each quart jar.
Pack cucumbers in jars.
Mix turmeric, vinegar, alum, water and salt together and stir well.
Pour over cucumbers in jars and seal tightly.
