Chicken And Dumplings - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (2 1/2 to 3 lb.) broiler or fryer
2 qt. water
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3 Tbsp. Crisco
3/4 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. milk
Preparation
-
Place chicken in Dutch oven; add water and 2 teaspoons salt. Cook until chicken is very tender.
Remove chicken from broth and cool.
Bone chicken and cut into bite size pieces.
Set aside.
