Wilted Cole Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 c. finely shredded cabbage
    1 green pepper, sliced thin
    1 c. sliced or diced onion
    1 can pimento or sweet red pepper
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. salt (less if desired)
    1 Tbsp. celery seed
    1 Tbsp. mustard
    1 c. vinegar
    1/2 c. vegetable oil
    2 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Mix vegetables together and sprinkle with 1/2 cup sugar. Combine remaining ingredients in saucepan and boil 3 minutes.
    Pour over cabbage mixture and mix well.
    Let sit in refrigerator in tightly covered container for 24 hours before serving.
    Shake container occasionally to mix.
    Will keep 2 weeks.
