Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

4 c. coarse bread crumbs (leftover biscuits)
2 c. milk
2 Tbsp. melted butter
1 c. sugar
3 eggs
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
nutmeg
Preparation

Butter a 1 1/2-quart casserole or 9 x 13-inch pan.
Beat eggs in large bowl; add sugar, salt and butter and mix well.
Add warm milk and vanilla.
Add bread crumbs and pour into buttered pan. Sprinkle generously with nutmeg and bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes or so.
Put a silver knife in the pudding about an inch from the edge.
If blade comes out clean, pudding is done.
Serve warm with lemon sauce.
