Ingredients

1 c. whole milk
2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 boxes mincemeat (or 1 jar prepared mincemeat)
4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
4 c. or more flour
Preparation

Beat together sugar, shortening, eggs and vanilla until fluffy.
Add baking powder, baking soda and salt.
Beat again. Add flour and whole milk alternately.
Beat.
Put in refrigerator for 3
hours.
Take
enough
batter to roll out 1/8-inch thick.
Cut with
3
or
4-inch round cookie cutter.
Place 1 teaspoon or more
of
mincemeat on 1 round.
Top with another round.
Crimp edges.
Put
on
greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 8
to
10 minutes
or until lightly browned.
