Basic Fast Sponge Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick butter
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 c. flour
    pinch of salt
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream butter with sugar; beat in 2 eggs until fluffy.
    Fold in flour, salt, baking powder and vanilla.
    Pout into buttered 7-inch round tin.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 30 minutes.
    Serve plain or spread with raspberry jam and dust with powdered sugar, if you have a sweet tooth.
