Clam Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    2 celery sticks, cut up
    6 medium potatoes, diced
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. m.s.g. (monosodium glutamate)
    1 tsp. pepper
    1/2 tsp. garlic salt
    2 cans minced clams (Doxee) in juice
    3/4 c. butter (1 1/2 sticks)
    1 c. flour
    1 qt. half and half
    regular milk
Preparation
    In another saucepan, melt butter.
    Add flour, stirring constantly with wire whisk, over medium-high heat.
    Add 1 quart half and half and stir until mixture is thick and smooth.
    Add potato mixture.
    Place in crock-pot and add half and half, cup regular milk and simmer for at least 2 hours.
