Mary Lou'S Pumpkin Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 1/2 tsp. ground cloves
    3 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    2/3 c. water
    1 (16 oz.) can pumpkin
    1 c. oil
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. chopped dates or raisins
    1 1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients and put aside.
    Blend oil and sugar.
    Add eggs, one at a time, and beat after each one.
    Add pumpkin, water, vanilla and flour mixture.
    Stir in dates and nuts.
    Bake in 4 greased and floured 1-pound coffee cans (fill about 2/3 full) for 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
    Check at 45 minutes.
    Rest on sides when cooling in cans.
