Cheesecake Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 oz. bitter baking chocolate
    1 cup butter
    2 1/2 cups sugar, divided
    4 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 cups flour
    8 oz. cream cheese, softened
    1 3/4 cups (10 oz.) mini kiss milk chocolate or semi-sweet baking pieces
    1/2 cup chopped maraschino cherries
    1/2 tsp. almond extract
Preparation
    Melt baking chocolate and butter in saucepan; mix well. Beat in 2 cups sugar, 3 eggs, and vanilla until blended. Stir in flour. Spread batter in prepared pan.
