Caramel Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 qt. popped corn
    2 c. light brown sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking soda
    2 sticks butter/margarine
    1/2 c. light Karo syrup
    1 tsp. vanilla
    nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Pop
    corn,
    pick
    out seeds and set aside.
    Put butter, brown sugar,
    Karo
    syrup and salt into saucepan until butter melts. Bring
    to
    a
    boil,
    boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly
    on medium heat.
    Remove from heat and add vanilla and baking
    soda; stir
    well.
    Mixture
    will\tfoam in pan, so use large enough pan. Pour mixture over popcorn and nuts in large roasting
    pan;\tmix well.
    Bake
    at 250\u00b0 for 1 hour, stirring every
    15
    minutes. Remove
    and
    dry.
    Cool
    on wax paper and store in a tin.
