Hearty Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 potatoes, peeled and cubed
    2 large carrots, sliced
    1 stalk celery, chopped
    1 large onion, chopped
    2 (10 oz.) cans chicken broth
    1 stick butter
    approximately 1 to 2 c. milk
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    In 3-quart pan, put carrots, celery, onion and then potatoes. Pour in broth and add enough water to cover vegetables.
    Salt and pepper to taste.
    Add butter.
    Boil until tender.
    Add milk.
    Cook 15 minutes more.
