Pickled Vidalia Onions (Or Pickled Yellow Squash) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    10 c. sliced Vidalia onions
    4 sliced bell peppers
    1/3 c. canning salt
    2 c. white vinegar
    3 c. sugar
    2 tsp. celery seed
    2 tsp. mustard seed
Preparation
    Put onions, bell peppers and salt in ice water for 1 hour. Mix vinegar, sugar, celery seed and mustard seed.
    Bring to a boil.
    Add onion mix to vinegar mix and bring to a second boil. Place in boiled jars and seal.
    Makes about 4 pints.
