Candied Sweet Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium size sweet potatoes
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. hot water
    1/2 tsp. salt
    4 Tbsp. margarine
    flavor: your choice lemon juice, sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg
Preparation
    Partially boil potatoes; cool and peel.
    Cut into 1/4-inch slices; arrange in greased shallow baking dish.
    Make a syrup of sugar, water and salt.
    Add flavoring and margarine; pour over potatoes.
    Cover and bake at 350\u00b0 for about an hour.
