Ingredients

1 c. rice
2 c. water
1/3 to 1/2 c. raisins
3 Tbsp. margarine
1 c. milk
1/2 to 2/3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
1 tsp. vanilla
nutmeg
Preparation

Cook rice, covered, until done.
Add other ingredients, except vanilla and nutmeg.
Cook on medium heat, stirring all the time, until raisins are plump and pudding is thick.
Add vanilla and sprinkle some nutmeg (according to taste).
Stir together and refrigerate.
