Chili - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
2 cloves garlic, chopped fine
1 onion, chopped
1 lb. lean ground meat
1 lb. chili meat
2 Tbsp. flour
3 Tbsp. chili powder
2 tsp. salt
red pepper to your taste
2 small cans tomato sauce
2 to 4 c. water
Preparation

Melt shortening.
Saute onion and garlic.
Add meat.
Let turn grey.
Stir in flour, then add to the remaining ingredients in a small heavy pot.
Cook on low heat for 3 to 4 hours.
