White Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 lb. margarine
    8 eggs
    1 (2 oz.) bottle lemon extract
    4 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 lb. pecans
    1 lb. pineapple, candied
    1 lb. red cherries, candied
Preparation
    Cream margarine
    and
    sugar.
    Add
    eggs, one at a time. Add lemon extract, 2 cups flour with baking powder sifted into it. Cut
    fruit
    and
    dredge
    with the remaining 2 cups flour. Add dredged
    fruit
    and
    nuts to batter.
    Turn into a prepared tube pan (line with wax paper) and bake at 275\u00b0 for 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Put a pan of water under the cake while baking.
