Creamy Rice Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. uncooked rice
    3 c. boiling water
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. butter
    3 c. milk, scalded
    3 eggs, slightly beaten
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    nutmeg
Preparation
    Add rice to rapidly boiling water; add salt and butter.
    Cook and simmer for 15 minutes.
    Add milk and vanilla.
    Simmer 15 minutes longer.
    Thoroughly blend eggs, sugar and vanilla.
    Add a small amount of the hot mixture to egg mixture blend.
    Add to hot mix; cook 5 minutes longer, stirring constantly.
    Pour into heated serving dish.
    Sprinkle with nutmeg.
    Serve while still warm.
