Gougere(Makes 24) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. water
    6 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. white pepper
    1 c. flour
    4 eggs
    1 c. Gruyere, Muenster or Monterey Jack cheese, finely chopped
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Lightly butter muffin tins.
    In saucepan, combine water, butter and seasonings.
    Heat until butter is melted and water boils steadily.
    Add flour all at once; cook, stirring, until mixture pulls away from sides of pan and forms a ball.
    Remove from heat.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating each in thoroughly.
    Add cheese and blend.
    Spoon into tins, filling each one half full.
    Bake until puffed and golden brown, about 25 minutes.
