Ingredients

48 caramels
7 1/2 Tbsp. cream or 7 Tbsp. milk
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. oatmeal
1/3 tsp. salt
1 scant tsp. soda
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. melted butter
6 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
Preparation

Melt caramels with cream or milk in double boiler.
Mix flour, oatmeal, salt, soda, brown sugar and melted butter.
Pat 1/2 of this mixture in a 9 x 12-inch ungreased pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
