Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter or oleo
1/2 c. milk
4 Tbsp. cocoa
2 1/2 c. quick cooking oats
1/4 c. chopped nuts
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. peanut butter (optional)
Preparation

Cook sugar, milk, margarine and cocoa for 1 1/2 minutes. Start counting when mixture has reached a full boil.
Remove from fire and add oats, nuts, vanilla and peanut butter, if desired. Beat until well blended.
Spoon onto wax paper.
Makes 48 cookies.
